I haven't lived in my hometown (Windsor, Ontario) for 22 years and my home country for 12. When people ask me if I miss “home,” I reply that London is my home. If I'm asked what I miss about Canada, I answer with a few broad, mostly environmental, aspects: clean air, more space, better tasting tap water, decent customer service. I'm a dual citizen, but I'll always be Canadian first, a Londoner second, then (technically) British… although the latter still feels weird to say and write. Home is where my feet are.
